Not saying they were the "Greatest of all Time" and it sure was not Miami's fault that the other teams they played sucked. Hell, everyone started 0-0, but, I am biased!
You have to agree on this however:
In 1972 The Miami Dolphins were absolutely....PERFECT!

"Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on."
The ONLY thing that matters is that those 72 Dolphins have a 0 in the loss column. No other team can make that claim. Folks can argue about it all they want but 0 losses>1+ losses (which is exactly what the rest had/has)

Central Warriors. Respect the past, embrace the future
Now Indian Dad dont tell me that is your argument, c'mon now.
The undefeated 72 Dolphins aren't the best of all time...but that team is just unique in that they were never and have never since been beaten. An undefeated season is forever without a loss...and that team gets the props. BTW, I doubt Miami was favored to beat the Skins in 72 as badly as the Pats were favored to beat the Giants. And, that the Fins did win the SB and go undefeated speaks volumes.
...And if you ain't down with that, I got 2 words for ya....
No point to argue. Fact remains that they own the history books as the only one unblemished. We can say "So and so could have beaten them",but there's no way of knowing,so it's nothing but talk. Regardless,it is an impressive feat,a feat that IMO will never be repeated (think that this year's Pats will be the last to get that close). It's kinda like folks saying that Cincy's Big Red Machine would have clubbed Torre's Wold Championship Yankees,or Jordan's Bulls would have rolled Showtime's Lakers or Larry's Celts. You have to look for the "S" tab in that filing cabinet and put that in the good 'ol speculation folder. A body never knows (just ask Namath and Eli :/)
